DIY Flower Spring Rolls

INGREDIENTS:

For the Wraps

  • Rice paper sheets
  • Ty Ling Rice Sticks
  • Bell peppers (various colors), thinly sliced
  • Carrots, matchstick-cut or shredded
  • Apples, thinly sliced lengthwise
  • Red cabbage, shredded
  • Cucumbers, cut lengthwise (2–2.5 inches)
  • Lettuce
  • Shrimp, cooked
  • Fresh mint
  • Fresh basil
  • Edible flowers

For Dipping

  • Ty Ling Sweet & Sour Sauce
  • Ty Ling Hot Chili Flavored Oil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare the fillings: Wash and slice all vegetables and fruits. Cut the cucumbers, apples, and bell peppers to approximately 2–2.5 inches in length to fit comfortably within the rice paper wraps.
  2. Cook the shrimp and noodles: Pan-fry or boil the shrimp until fully cooked. Prepare the Ty Ling Rice Sticks according to the package directions. Once cooked, rinse the noodles under cold water several times to prevent sticking.
  3. Assemble the board: For a beautiful Mother’s Day presentation, arrange all ingredients on a serving board. Place the Sweet & Sour Sauce and Hot Chili Flavored Oil in small bowls at the center. Neatly surround them with shrimp, rice noodles, vegetables, fruits, herbs, and edible flowers.
Wrap: To make each roll, briefly dip a rice paper sheet in water and lay it on a plate. Alternatively, brush the rice paper lightly with water. Allow it to soften for 15–20 seconds. Do not wait longer, as it may become sticky and difficult to handle. Add your choice of ingredients to the center of the rice paper, fold, and roll tightly. Serve with dipping sauces and enjoy.
