Sticky Miso Brussel Sprouts

INGREDIENTS:

  • 12 oz brussel sprouts, halved
  • 1-2 tbs cooking oil

Miso sauce:

  • 1 tbs soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Ty Ling Sesame Oil 
  • 1 tsp Ty Ling  Oyster Sauce 
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbs white miso paste
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 tsp Ty Ling Five Spice Seasoning 
  • 1/2 cup hot water

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat a large skillet on medium high heat. Add the cooking oil and then place the brussel sprouts cut side down and allow to cook until browned (~5 min). 
  2. Then flip and cook for another 5 minutes. 
  3. Whisk together the ingredients for the sauce and then pour over the cooked brussel sprouts and simmer until all the liquid has evaporated. 
  4. Top with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Enjoy with chopsticks!
